Football Recap: Braiden Weed and Greyson Walker Lead the Defense for Sunnyvale Win

Sunnyvale won the last time they faced Ferris and Jaden Cross did his part to make sure it happened again. Sunnyvale enjoyed a cozy 48-30 win over Ferris on Friday for which the team can thank Cross, who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 134.5 rushing yards per game.

Sunnyvale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braiden Weed and Greyson Walker. Sunnyvale got some further help from Austin Helton: he made ten total tackles and defended two passes.

Sunnyvale pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Ferris, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
