Football Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

If Somerset was riding high fresh off their 41-6 takedown of Bloomer last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 27-14 to the Northwestern Tigers on Friday. The Spartans have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mason Chell had an outrageously good game for Northwestern as he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northwestern, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Somerset and Northwestern will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans will challenge rival Amery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwestern is set to take on their familiar foe Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
