Preview: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Bethune-Bowman Mohawks
Branchville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Bethune-Bowman Mohawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Branchville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Branchville suffered their biggest defeat since November 29, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 64-10 loss at the hands of Bamberg-Ehrhardt. Branchville has struggled against Bamberg-Ehrhardt recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Branchville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Riley Shuler, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Kambell Summers who scored four points along with two steals. Summers hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Bethune-Bowman suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Scott's Branch by a score of 30-27.
Branchville's defeat was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Bethune-Bowman, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Branchville was dealt a bruising 66-31 loss at the hands of Bethune-Bowman in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Branchville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
