Baseball Game Preview: South Windsor Bobcats vs. Windsor Warriors

The South Windsor Bobcats will square off against the Windsor Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. South Windsor is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

South Windsor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: East Lyme, who was ranked 17th at the time (South Windsor was ranked ninth). The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Vikings 5-4.

Meanwhile, Windsor posted their closest victory since May 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Manchester 3-2. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

South Windsor pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Windsor, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

South Windsor couldn't quite get it done against Windsor in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 as they fell 6-2. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
