Baseball Game Preview: Southeast Guilford Falcons vs. East Forsyth Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Southeast Guilford Falcons duke it out with East Forsyth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Southeast Guilford after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwest Guilford. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-1 victory. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Forsyth's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Guilford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Southeast Guilford was able to grind out a solid win over East Forsyth when the teams last played back in March of 2020, winning 7-4. Does Southeast Guilford have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Forsyth turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
