Baseball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Chester was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to the Quincy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-7 two weeks ago.

Chase Clark made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Quincy, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will venture away from home to face off against Los Molinos at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Volcanoes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season. As for Quincy, they will head out to square off against Biggs at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season.
