Volleyball Recap: Amira Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Churubusco over Adams Central

Churubusco lost against Adams Central back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flying Jets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-15.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amira Wilson, who had nine digs and one assist.

Adams Central was led to victory by Lillie Liter and Emma Hirschy. Liter had nine digs and two aces, while Hirschy had 20 digs, 12 kills, six aces, and one block. That's the most aces Liter has posted since back in October of 2024.

Churubusco's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Churubusco will welcome Garrett at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Railroaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Adams Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eastbrook at 7:00 p.m.
