Soccer Game Preview: St. Clair vs. Marine City

The St. Clair Saints will take on the Marine City Mariners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with St. Clair sitting on four straight victories and Marine City on three.

St. Clair's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Grosse Pointe North as they made off with an 8-0 win. St. Clair's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Meanwhile, Marine City's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Algonac 2-1.

Marine City's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-4. As for St. Clair, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.

Everything went St. Clair's way against Marine City in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as St. Clair made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Mariners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
