Baseball Recap: Ripon Christian Takes a Loss

Ripon Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to the Escalon Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 last Wednesday.

Ripon Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Josh Crivello also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ripon Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Escalon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ripon Christian will take on Ripon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. We've got a battle between Cougars coming up. Weston Ranch will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Escalon surely won't give up without a fight.
