Baseball Recap: Colonia Patriots vs. Spotswood Chargers
Colonia had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 11-3 to make it four. They fell just short of the Spotswood Chargers by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Saturday.
As for Spotswood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch.
For Spotswood's part, Jack Korneski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sebastian Saracino, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025.
