Volleyball Recap: Medina Comes Up Short at Home Against Hoover

Medina unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hoover Vikings on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Battling Bees haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Medina was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Oliva Fedor paced Medina's offense, picking up eight kills. Fedor got some help from Lauren Sherman and her 20 assists.

Medina is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoover, they will face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
