Basketball Recap: Sandhills Classical Christian Comes Up Short

The Sandhills Classical Christian Lions took a blow against the Crossroads Christian Colts on Tuesday, falling 108-26.

Crossroads Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Watkins, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points along with seven steals and six assists. The contest was Watkins' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Baskerville, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards.

Sandhills Classical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Crossroads Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sandhills Classical Christian is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Lee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crossroads Christian, they will head out to challenge Cape Fear Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
