Basketball Game Preview: Lisbon Broncos vs. Valley City Hi-Liners

Lisbon hasn't had much luck against Valley City recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lisbon Broncos will look to defend their home court against the Valley City Hi-Liners at 6:00 p.m.

Lisbon is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Monday. They were dealt a 62-22 defeat at the hands of Wahpeton. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

Meanwhile, Valley City came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 64-56 win over the Firebirds.

Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Valley City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Lisbon was taken down by Valley City 60-22 in their previous matchup back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lisbon was down 40-12.
