Softball Recap: Crestwood Has No Trouble Against Fordson

Crestwood entered their tilt with Fordson on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tractors an 8-0 shutout. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Chargers this season.

Crestwood pushed their record up to 6-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Fordson, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestwood will head out to take on Robichaud at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.42 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fordson, they will head out on the road to face off against Melvindale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
