The Bishop McCort Crushers will challenge the Tyrone Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McCort is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Bishop McCort was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bishop Carroll on Monday. The Crushers were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Huskies. The Crushers have beaten the Huskies the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Huskies has come to flipping the script.

Riley Zeglin was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Zeglin was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Bishop McCort got a massive performance out of Lariah Myers, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Emma Preuss, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Bishop McCort always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Tyrone waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Golden Tigers.

Tyrone pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Bishop McCort, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
