Baseball Recap: Connellsville Takes a Loss

Connellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Baldwin Highlanders. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly two runs.

Grayden Gillott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Connellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Baldwin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Connellsville will square off against Indiana at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Little Indians will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Baldwin, they will challenge Seton LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
