Football Game Preview: Omaha South Packers vs. Papillion-LaVista South Titans + Official Tickets

Omaha South is 0-4 against Papillion-LaVista South since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Packers will face off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Omaha South has given up an average of 56.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Omaha South is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Norfolk on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Packers were dealt a 42-3 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Packers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista South had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They really took it to the Bearcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-17 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Titans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Bearcats are ranked 46th).

Omaha South better keep an eye on Colin Raybourn. He was instrumental in Papillion-LaVista South's win, rushing for 59 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 315 yards and one touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes. Those 59 rushing yards gave Raybourn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Alderson, who picked up 155 receiving yards and one score.

Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Omaha South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Omaha South was dealt a bruising 77-14 loss at the hands of Papillion-LaVista South in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Titans' Derek Jones, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
