The Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged STX out 44-42.

STX's loss came despite strong showings from Guillermo Moreno and Isaac Martinez. Moreno almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Martinez scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals. Moreno is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carlos Carlin, who scored four points along with two steals.

Austin Royals HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 7-17. As for STX, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-17 record this season.

Austin Royals HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. STX is on the road again on Thursday and plays Varsity Opponent at 9:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully STX focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
