Softball Recap: Hurley Wins Going Away Against Bradleyville

While Hurley put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Bradleyville. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Eagles. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Addy Maxwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hurley got a massive performance out of Cali Frogley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Jaema Schimmels was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Hurley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hurley's record is now 4-5. As for Bradleyville, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Hurley will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Blue Eye at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bradleyville, they will head out to face off against Hollister at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
