You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Arapahoe Warriors's strategy against the Bertrand Vikings on Friday. Arapahoe was the clear victor by a 54-32 margin over Bertrand. With Arapahoe ahead 27-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Arapahoe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clara Hilker, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Mckenzie Ewoldt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Bertrand saw an underclassman step up: Addison Andersen scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Andersen has scored all season.

Arapahoe's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Bertrand, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Arapahoe will square off against Alma at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Alma is coming into the game with ten straight victories on the road, so Arapahoe is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Bertrand, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kenesaw at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Kenesaw is ranked 186th, while Bertrand is ranked 206th).
