Soccer Recap: Argyle Takes a Loss

Argyle and Middleburgh squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Argyle had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. If Argyle were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Middleburgh when the teams met back in August of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-2. As for Middleburgh, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-4 record this season.

Argyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middleburgh, they will challenge Northville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Northville's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Middleburgh's offense will have their work cut out for them.
