After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palm Desert, Shadow Hills was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rancho Mirage Rattlers, sneaking past 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in March.
Nick Rodriquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Rodriquez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Rodriquez wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Ceja, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
