Brimfield fell victim to Illini Bluffs and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (1-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Brimfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josie Wiewel, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Brimfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Illini Bluffs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Brimfield will venture away from home to face off against ROWVA/Williamsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Illini Bluffs, they will welcome Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Little Giants have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
