Basketball Game Preview: McDowell Trojans vs. Wilson Bulldogs

The McDowell Trojans will face off against the Wilson Bulldogs on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

McDowell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-40 win over Central Catholic. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Plymouth Whitemarsh typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Wilson proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Colonials with a 56-51 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

McDowell is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points over those games. Wilson's win bumped their record up to 23-7.
