Basketball Recap: Ashdown Takes a Loss

Ashdown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Mena Bearcats, falling 72-45. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 50-39 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ashdown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mena, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Ashdown will head out on the road to take on Centerpoint at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mena, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-59 victory against Cossatot River on the 3rd.
