Man against mathematics. Here is this week's look at how the Ohio High School Football Associated Press State Football Polls and the MaxPreps Ohio High School Football Computer Rankings compare.
The biggest difference comes in Division IV where the AP's top team - St. Clairsville - isn't ranked in the Top 10 of the MP Computer Rankings. The top team in the MP Computer Rankings - Shelby - sneaks in at No. 10 in the AP Poll.
Both polls have the same six teams atop the Division I, II, II, V, VI and VII rankings.
The AP poll is chosen weekly by a statewide media vote. The MP Computer Rankings are created from a
proprietary equation that factors items such as quality wins and strength of schedule.
