Volleyball Recap: Bridgeport Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Bridgeport Baptist Academy lost against Immanuel Baptist back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Broncos fell 3-1 to the Fire. While the Broncos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fire 25-20 in the first set.

Bridgeport Baptist Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-18.

Abigail Treadway paced Bridgeport Baptist Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Treadway got some help from Alexis Russell and her 17 assists. Treadway was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Bridgeport Baptist Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Immanuel Baptist, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Bridgeport Baptist Academy will face off against Fellowship Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Immanuel Baptist, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lakecrest Baptist on the 26th.
