Basketball Game Recap: Beth Tfiloh Warriors vs. Yavneh Academy Bulldogs

The Beth Tfiloh Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 53-50. Beth Tfiloh has struggled against Yavneh Academy recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Yavneh Academy was led to victory by Max Fisherov and Sam Rael. Fisherov scored 14 points, while Rael scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rael has scored at least 25% of Yavneh Academy's points.

Beth Tfiloh's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Yavneh Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Beth Tfiloh will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North East at 5:45 p.m. on December 13th. Yavneh Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Varsity Opponent at 10:30 a.m. on December 1st.
