Softball Recap: Fulton Takes a Loss

Fulton scored first but ultimately less than Oswego in their game on Friday. They fell just short of the Bucs by a score of 3-2. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bucs earlier this season, when they won 14-1.

Emma Spaulding spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

This is the second loss in a row for Fulton and nudges their season record down to 9-3. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Oswego, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Fulton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oswego, they are taking a road trip to square off against Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
