Volleyball Game Preview: Rocklin Thunder vs. West Park Panthers

The Rocklin Thunder will square off against the West Park Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rocklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Rio Americano.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 24-26, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, West Park entered their tilt with Bear Creek on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bruins.

One reason for the win was West Park's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

West Park pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Rocklin, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.

Rocklin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to West Park in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
