Volleyball Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland lost against Chattooga back in August of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ella Camper paced Ridgeland's offense, picking up three kills. Camper got some help from Kali Crawford and her four assists. Finally, Zoey Fleming kept Ridgeland's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Aurora Ramirez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and nine assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Chattooga, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-8.

Ridgeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Sonoraville on the 20th. As for Chattooga, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on the 20th.
