Football Recap: W.E.B. DuBois Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Washington County last Friday, W.E.B. DuBois Academy came back down to earth. The Lions were outmatched by the Lexington Christian Eagles and fell 42-13. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lexington Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

Coming up, W.E.B. DuBois Academy will take on Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Admirals' defense has only allowed 12.7 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lexington Christian, they will challenge Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
