Belmont had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Barneveld Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 back in April.

Belmont's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Barneveld, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belmont will square off against River Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barneveld, they will challenge Weston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
