Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scotland). They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Hoke County Bucks on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Scots sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Avery Stutts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dawson Blue, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Lewis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
