Basketball Game Preview: Eastern York Golden Knights vs. West York Area Bulldogs

Eastern York has won three straight games at home, while West York Area has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Eastern York Golden Knights will welcome the West York Area Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

Eastern York is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering York Suburban just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

Meanwhile, West York Area posted their biggest victory since December 13, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Conestoga Valley 60-32. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Buckskins are ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West York Area has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Eastern York, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.
