The Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 29) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 win over the Stargate School Eagles. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

The Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dominik Konarski out in front who went 9-for-15 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Boychuk, who went 7-for-16 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds.

Stargate School's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Roark, who posted 19 points. The match was Roark's third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Connor Rusch, who scored 14 points.

The Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
