Castro Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the San Leandro Pirates an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Seidel, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Castro Valley's record now sits at 9-3. As for San Leandro, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6.
