Johnson-Brock waltzed into their contest on Friday with 24 straight wins... but they left with 25. They took their match with ease, bagging a 65-15 win over Valentine. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 20 points or more this season.

Johnson-Brock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taryn Ottemann, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Ottemann has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Vice, who shot 45% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Johnson-Brock was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valentine only three assists.

Johnson-Brock's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points on average over those games. As for Valentine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles face off against the Bluejays at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Johnson-Brock's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Guardian Angels Central Catholic's offense will have their work cut out for them. Valentine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
