Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marshfield had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Jefferson City Jays. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Quinn Aldridge paced Marshfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Aldridge also shared the team's lead in assists with Gracelyn Bull: they picked up 19 each. Finally, Tilly Greenfield kept Marshfield's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Despite the loss, Jefferson City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Showers had 29 digs and three assists. Those 29 digs set a new season-high mark for Showers.

Marshfield's win bumped their record up to 28-9-2. As for Jefferson City, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-14-1.

As of now, neither Marshfield nor the Jays have any future games scheduled.
