Volleyball Recap: Marshfield's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Marshfield had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Jefferson City Jays by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Quinn Aldridge paced Marshfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Aldridge also shared the team's lead in assists with Gracelyn Bull: they picked up 19 each. Finally, Tilly Greenfield kept Marshfield's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Despite the loss, Jefferson City still got an impressive performance from Ella Showers, who had 29 digs and three assists. Showers has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Marshfield's win bumped their record up to 28-9-2. As for Jefferson City, their loss dropped their record down to 19-14-1.

Marshfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Webb City on the 1st. Jefferson City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
