Volleyball Game Preview: Poudre Impalas vs. Loveland Red Wolves

Poudre is 0-10 against Loveland since September of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Impalas will head out on the road to face off against the Red Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Poudre managed to slip by Rocky Mountain the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Impalas lost 3-0 to the Lobos on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Impalas have suffered since September 25th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-20.

The losing side was boosted by Rinzin Copeland, who had 19 digs.

Meanwhile, Loveland faced Windsor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Red Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wizards. While the Red Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wizards 25-20 in the first set.

Loveland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-16.

Poudre's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Loveland, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Poudre suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Loveland in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Impalas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
