Ethan Gurtner picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. As if that's not impressive enough, the game was his fifth in a row with seven or more total tackles. This season, he has averaged 6.9 total tackles per game and for the season has 7 sacks.

Coming up, Gurtner and Payson will stay at home for another week and welcome Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will enter the matchup having just beaten Apache Junction, so the Longhorns will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
