Basketball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Peoria Notre Dame fought the good fight in their overtime match against Pontiac on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pontiac Indians. The Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peoria Notre Dame's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4. As for Pontiac, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Peoria Notre Dame and Sacred Heart-Griffin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Pontiac will take on LaSalle-Peru in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaSalle-Peru will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Pontiac surely won't give up without a fight.
