Soccer Game Preview: Blazer vs. Cabell Midland

Blazer hasn't had much luck against Cabell Midland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tomcats will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Blazer headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Pikeville let them put that streak behind them. The Tomcats were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Panthers on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Blazer's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cabell Midland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Riverside a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Cabell Midland needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Their offense was hitting Riverside from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Brady Call led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Cabell Midland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight matchups. As for Blazer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-2.
