Football Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Comes Up Short at Home Against Harrison

Kennesaw Mountain unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Harrison Hoyas on Friday, falling 49-14. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Kennesaw Mountain had strong showings from Chris (Smooth) Miller, who threw for 217 yards and one TD, and Lamarri Robertson, who gained 107 total yards and a touchdown.

Harrison found their leader in sophomore Aiden Watson, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 193 yards and one TD while completing 76.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Dj Huggins, who gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns.

Kennesaw Mountain will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Harrison, they will face off against Wheeler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
