Basketball Game Preview: North Myrtle Beach Chiefs vs. Laney Buccaneers

North Myrtle Beach has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Laney has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs will be home for the holidays to greet the Laney Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. North Myrtle Beach's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Laney's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, North Myrtle Beach didn't have too much trouble with Loris as they won 50-32. The 50-point effort marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Laney strolled past Ashley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-27. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Screaming Eagle are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Laney's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Myrtle Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
