Baseball Recap: Kewaskum Victorious

Kewaskum won the last time they faced Random Lake and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Rams. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.

Sam Ciriacks was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Reichert, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Kewaskum's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Random Lake, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Coming up, Kewaskum will welcome Campbellsport at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Random Lake, they will take on Grafton at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
