Volleyball Game Preview: Manning Monarchs vs. Lake City Panthers + Official Tickets

Manning hasn't had much luck against Lake City recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Monarchs will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Manning will be strutting in after a win while Lake City will be coming in after a defeat.

Manning was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion, sneaking past 3-2.

Manning was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 16-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-2.

Among those leading the charge was Briana Gamble, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Lake City came up short against Atlantic Collegiate Academy last Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Armada recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-6, 25-10.

Manning is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Lake City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Manning suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lake City in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Monarchs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
