Baseball Recap: Ithaca Comes Up Short

Ithaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Binghamton Patriots. The Little Red were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ithaca now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Binghamton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ithaca will take on Owego Free Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The River Hawks will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Little Red surely won't give up without a fight. As for Binghamton, they will square off against Corning-Painted Post West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
