Basketball Game Preview: Brewer Patriots vs. Fairview Aggies

The Brewer Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Fairview Aggies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brewer has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 30.

Brewer saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Falkville.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Khloe Grandstaff, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points. Keylyn Stapler was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Fairview came into Monday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Holly Pond by a score of 43-36 on Monday.

Fairview's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Brewer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.

Things could have been worse for Brewer, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-44 loss to Fairview in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Brewer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
